By downloading, installing or using SaddleTalk, or by creating an account, you agree to the terms of use. This page is a short version only: the formal terms of use are the document that applies.
What SaddleTalk is
SaddleTalk is a communication platform for equestrians: audio calls while on horseback, recording, and AI-powered lesson stories (powered by third-party services such as GetStream), with data storage and login powered by Supabase.
Safety first
Riding horses is inherently dangerous. Using the app while riding is entirely at your own risk.
Always put your own safety, your horse's safety and the safety of others first, and do not let the app distract you from controlling your horse.
SaddleTalk, its developers and affiliates are not liable for injuries, deaths, property damage or other accidents that happen while you use, listen to or interact with the app while riding or handling horses.
You are responsible for following local laws on using mobile devices and headsets while riding.
Your account
You need to register an account to use the app. Our privacy policy explains what information we collect.
Keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, and you should tell us right away if you suspect unauthorised use.
Give accurate, current and complete information when you register, and keep it up to date.
What is not allowed
Communicating threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory or hateful content.
Violating other people's privacy. When you record conversations through the app, you alone are responsible for complying with local laws on recording consent.
Sending viruses, malware or other harmful code, disrupting the app or its servers, or trying to get unauthorised access to the app, other accounts or our systems.
Using the app for any illegal or unauthorised purpose.
Third-party services
SaddleTalk depends on third-party services, including Supabase (authentication, database and storage) and GetStream (audio communication and AI-powered audio processing). Your use of the app also depends on them working and being available.
We make no guarantees about the continuous availability, accuracy or reliability of these services, for example the audio processing features.
Ownership and privacy
All intellectual property in the app, including its design, text, graphics, logos and software, belongs to SaddleTalk or its licensors. You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Our privacy policy explains how we collect, use and share your information, including conversation recordings and account data.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time through the app's settings. After deletion your data is handled according to the privacy policy.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated the terms, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.
The fine print
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or completely secure.
To the maximum extent the law allows, SaddleTalk is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill or other intangible losses arising from your use of the app.
We may update the terms. If we make material changes we update the "Last Updated" date or notify you in the app. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the revised terms.
The terms are governed by the laws of Belgium.
